We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Production Operatives to join our team in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester. This role offers an immediate start, competitive pay, and a supportive workplace culture. You will play a key role in the manufacturing of high-quality soft furnishings, contributing to the success of a well-established company.

Working Hours and Pay Rate:

  • Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
  • Location: Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester
  • Shifts:
    • Morning Shift: 6 am - 2 pm (Friday: 6 am - 1 pm)
    • Afternoon Shift: 2 pm - 10 pm (Friday: 1 pm - 8 pm)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Operating various machines to manufacture soft furnishings.
  • Packing finished goods on the conveyor belt.
  • Performing warehouse duties such as picking, packing, loading, and unloading trailers.
  • Meeting daily production targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of production processes.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with machine operations (training will be provided for specific machinery).
  • The ability to work towards daily targets and KPIs.
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude to learning new skills.
  • The ability to reliably arrive by 6 am for morning shifts.
  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday (this role is not suitable for students).

Day-to-Day:

  • Starting your shift with a team briefing to outline daily targets.
  • Operating machinery to produce soft furnishings to high-quality standards.
  • Packing and preparing finished products for dispatch.
  • Assisting with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure production goals are met.
  • Wrapping up the day with an early finish on Fridays!
