We are recruiting for Food Production Operative roles in Cambridge. You will be working for a leading food manufacturing company producing jams and conserves.

Details of a Food Production Operative:

  • Rate of Pay: Β£15.10 per hour for day shifts and Β£17.32 per hour for night shifts
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday, rotating 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am shifts
  • Location: Cambridge
  • Duration: Ongoing

Role of a Food Production Operative:

  • Operating and taking ownership of production processes to meet business targets
  • Working within a team to deliver high-volume production
  • Monitoring the production area to achieve safety, quality, cost, delivery and performance targets
  • Controlling production processes to ensure products meet legal and quality requirements
  • Operating machinery and managing the assigned production area independently
  • Following Good Manufacturing Practice at all times
  • Following all health and safety procedures as a priority
  • Ensuring products meet all specifications and performance standards
  • Completing accurate production records to meet due diligence and traceability requirements
  • Recording production activities, actions and ingredients accurately

Requirements of a Food Production Operative:

  • Relevant production or food manufacturing experience
  • Able to commute independently to the site
  • Flexible to work additional hours occasionally to meet business needs
  • Comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
  • Able to work rotating day and night shifts
