We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Production Operative to join our growing team. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality food products reach our customers efficiently and safely. You will play a vital part in the production process by picking, packing, and adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack food products to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Ensure all products are labelled and packed accurately according to guidelines.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, following regulatory and company policies.
- Perform quality checks throughout the production process to maintain consistency and high standards.
- Operate basic equipment and tools in a safe manner during the production process.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or concerns to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and the production area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or food safety issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food production, picking and packing, or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and cleanliness protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift items up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Excellent teamwork abilities and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in temperature-controlled environments, as required.
