We have an opportunity for a talented Senior HR Advisor to join our small HR team on a fixed term maternity cover contract for 15 months. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for providing dedicated, high-level HR support. The Senior HR Advisor will deliver comprehensive, professional HR support across the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring all processes are efficient, accurate, and fully compliant with company policy and legislation.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the full HR generalist operational workload.
- Review, update, and maintain organisational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current UK employment law, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to Line Managers and employees on day-to-day matters including policy application, absence management, conduct, and performance.
- Coordinate the processes in the full employee lifecycle, including but not limited to, recruitment, development and offboarding.
- Maintain and update employee records within the HR Information System, ensuring absolute data integrity and full compliance with GDPR.
- Extract, manipulate, and analyse employee data to generate reports, identify trends, and inform management decisions.
- Support strategic HR initiatives and business projects and lead on projects assigned to the Senior HR Advisor.
- Contribute proactively to continuous improvement of HR systems and processes to enhance efficiency and the overall employee experience.
- Build trusted, professional working relationships across the business through confident and supportive communication.
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualified and/or Associate CIPD.
- Significant relevant experience in a full generalist role. International experience is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience of partnering with senior managers and line managers.
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet competing deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
- Highly proficient in using data to maintain records and report on HR metrics.
- Experience of effectively using Word, Excel, Outlook, HR systems.
