The Role:

The role includes but is not limited to:

  1. Liaising with the Flight Operations team leaders and coordinating Engineering team logistics and maintenance of rigs and survey equipment.
  2. Coordinating and managing the day-to-day workload of Engineering Technicians to ensure that tasks are completed, fostering a culture of safety, quality, efficiency and best practice.
  3. Supporting the Engineering Manager with problem-solving activities and investigations to support the delivery of efficiencies and a culture of continuous improvement. Providing regular communication on high-level engineering matters and providing information for collaborative board reporting.
  4. Ensuring equipment commissioning processes are followed for the timely procurement of approved supplies and services and that stock levels are correctly maintained.
  5. Being responsible for reviewing, maintaining and developing departmental systems, processes and procedures including asset tracking, stock management, maintenance records, engineering drawings etc.
  6. Rig maintenance – liaising with Flight Operations on flight requirements to enable servicing schedules to take place. Understanding maintenance procedures, directing engineers to deliver a first-class service at the right time in the right place.
  7. Liaising with external contractors, working on behalf of the client and sister company to help with the implementation of Equipment Modification Authorisations (EMA’s) and rig improvements.
  8. Supporting the Innovation team with equipment development and NPD projects.
  9. Coordinating the training of new Engineering Technicians, and continuous improvement of existing technicians as required.
  10. Providing engineering support and guidance to aid and inform the Business Development, Commercial and Project teams.
  11. Advising on and implementing the development and upgrading of the equipment to improve performance and efficiency.
  12. Any other responsibilities as the Company may see fit.

The successful candidate will need:

Qualifications

Educated in either an electrical or multiskilled engineering discipline.

Skills & Knowledge

  1. Good knowledge of health & safety.
  2. Basic knowledge of project management.
  3. Ability to organise, coordinate, and prioritise workloads over multiple projects to ensure key deliverables are met.
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and with a variety of stakeholders.
  5. Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently, working under minimal supervision and managing time efficiently.
  6. Effective organisational skills.
  7. Computer skills, including MS Office applications, preferably CAD experience.

Experience

  1. Experience of working in a Lead/Senior role, or similar leadership role.
  2. Experience in delivering robust documented processes in line with continuous improvement.

  4. Working hours are based on Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00.
