The Role

The primary responsibility is to provide assistant to the onsite Commercial Team.

Requirements

Your new position will include but is not limited to:

  • Support with the day-to-day administration of lower-tier subcontracts including the payments and application process.
  • Support with estimating and change management cycle.
  • Support with the day-to-day commercial functions including but not limited to; Estimating, identification and speedy response to EW’s, RFQ’s, Site Instructions, and any other contractual communications.
  • Assist with the production and agreements of Interim Applications for payments.
  • Assisting with forecasting requirements, including internal Monthly Cost to Value Reconciliation.
  • Close liaison and provision of assistance to all operational and supporting staff to ensure overall effective management across the project.
  • To support and maintain up to date risk registers, including quantification of risk.
  • Support Quality and Health and Safety objectives
  • Work safely and adhere to company policies and procedures and those of our client
  • Work as part of a team to successfully achieve the aims and objectives of the Project and a company.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and approachability.
  • Proactively seek additional tasks where time permits.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • Experience within a mechanical setting would be beneficial
  • Preferably Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or other relevant business discipline
  • Non degree holders should have a demonstratable record of success within a similar role.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications with High knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience using contractual communication platforms is beneficial.
  • Hold a Valid CSCS MAPS card or CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Must be able to obtain the necessary clearance to work at Hinkley Point C
  • Must be able to commute to their allocated park and ride facility / assigned bus stop on route.
