We are looking for a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team in Newport, United Kingdom. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering packages to our customers in Newport and surrounding areas. We provide a van, fuel card, and insurance to ensure you have the necessary tools to succeed in this role.
- Safely operate a company-provided van to deliver packages to customers in a timely manner
- Load and unload packages with care, ensuring proper handling of all items
- Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures upon package delivery
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or inquiries professionally
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the dispatch team
- Operate an electronic device for GPS route guidance
Qualifications:
- Independent problem solver with good communication skills in English
- The ability and willingness to be able to use stairs to deliver packages
- Able to lift and deliver packages (up to 23 kg)
- Full and valid UK or EU Manual Driving License (max 6 points, NO active IN, DR or TT codes)
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Where vans are provided, they are held overnight at the station; you must be able to commute to and from the station
- Must be at least 21 years old
