We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Engineer to join a company at the forefront of renewable energy innovation. The business delivers tailored solar and renewable solutions that make sustainability accessible, practical and effective for industries and commercial organisations.

This role plays a key part in the design, delivery and optimisation of solar PV systems, supporting clients in reducing carbon impact while improving energy efficiency and long-term cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and engineer solar PV systems for commercial and industrial applications
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and technical surveys
  • Produce technical drawings, system layouts and specifications
  • Support project delivery from concept through to installation and commissioning
  • Ensure systems comply with industry standards, regulations and health and safety requirements
  • Carry out performance analysis, fault diagnosis and system optimisation
  • Liaise with project managers, installation teams, suppliers and clients
  • Provide technical support and advice throughout the project lifecycle
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, products and industry best practice
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in solar PV system design, installation or engineering
  • Strong technical understanding of renewable energy systems and electrical principles
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with UK regulations and standards relating to solar and electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
Qualifications (Desirable)
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field
  • Relevant solar or electrical certifications (e.g. MCS, NICEIC, City & Guilds)
  • Experience working in commercial or industrial renewable projects
