We are lookingfor a junior Mechanical Technician to join our engineering team, working on the assembly and testing of subsea pipeline plugs and pressure-retaining equipment .
This role involves working closely with engineers and project managers to ensure high-quality build and performance of mechanical systems used in critical offshore and energy applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate builds
- Work with hydraulic pumps, hoses, and fittings
- Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing
- Follow and support operating and test procedures (ability to write or improve them is a bonus)
- Support with procurement of components and build preparation
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams throughout the build and test phases
Requirements
- Proven mechanical assembly or fitting experience
- Competent in reading technical drawings and mechanical schematics
- Experience with hydraulic systems and test setups
- Hands-on experience conducting pressure testing (preferably hydrostatic)
- High attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
