The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. You will report directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Technicians, Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technician, and Maintenance Manager. This role involves overseeing all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards, and compliance with industry regulations to operate as a top-tier COMAH site. You will work closely with operations to uphold quality standards related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained during all maintenance activities.
- Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, review, and issuing work packs with adequate RAMS.
- Track work progress, close out work orders in the CMMS system, and manage team timekeeping, holidays, and disciplinary issues.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules.
- Participate in root cause analyses (RCAs) and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
- Provide first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities, including the planning and execution of preventive maintenance (PMs).
SHEQ Responsibilities
- Ensure all environmental, health, and safety requirements are met, promote a safety culture, and report incidents or near misses.
- Ensure work is performed safely and to industry standards, reducing downtime and increasing equipment performance.
Equipment Management
- Supervise maintenance technicians, prioritize work, support projects, and liaise with OEM contractors for inspections and future PM planning.
