Role Overview:
We are looking for skilled Fibre Optic Technicians with proven offshore experience to support the installation, testing, and maintenance of fibre optic systems on offshore projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of quality and safety across all fibre optic work scopes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, termination, splicing, and testing of fibre optic cables.
- Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing.
- Fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repair of fibre optic systems.
- Support cable laying and pull-in operations offshore.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with offshore safety standards and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate test records and documentation.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years offshore experience in a similar FO role.
- Strong competence in FO splicing, termination, and testing.
- Experience with OTDR testing and fault diagnostics.
- Valid offshore survival and medical certificates (e.g., GWO, BOSIET/FOET, OGUK).
- Strong awareness of offshore HSE standards and safe working practices.
