We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team, working across a variety of Electrical projects such as large industrial projects, building services and renewable energy projects. The role involves preparing accurate and competitive estimates for systems such as industrial pipework, HVAC, plumbing, heat pumps, and low-carbon technologies.
You’ll work closely with our design and engineering teams to help deliver coordinated, cost-effective solutions that support our growing portfolio of sustainable projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Produce detailed cost estimates and tender packages for various electrical services.
· Interpret technical drawings and project specifications to produce accurate take-offs and pricing
· Engage with suppliers to source equipment and obtain competitive pricing
· Attend site visits and client meetings as needed to inform the estimating process
· Work collaboratively with in-house engineers and project managers to develop integrated solutions
· Keep up to date with UK regulations, including Part L, CIBSE standards, and low-carbon requirements
· Maintain accurate and well-organised records of estimates, pricing, and supplier communications
Requirements
· Role would suit a graduate engineer or someone wanting to make the switch from site to office-based role.
· Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing and heating layouts, and sustainable electrical technologies as well as awareness and competency in heat pumps and energy-efficient mechanical xiskglj solutions is desirable
· Understanding of AutoCAD and basic mechanical design software
· Good commercial awareness, attention to detail, and communication skills
· HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related trade background in a relevant discipline preferred
