Working closely with the Head of Technical, you’ll play a key role in leading the Quality Assurance function and ensuring the site consistently meets both customer and regulatory expectations. This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role, where you will be visible on the shop floor and a key point of contact across operations.

You will:

  • Lead and develop the QA team, driving performance and engagement
  • Take ownership of site food safety, quality and compliance standards (HACCP, QMS, GMP)
  • Act as the technical escalation point, supporting operational teams day-to-day
  • Ensure the site is audit-ready at all times, including preparation for major retailer audits
  • Lead investigations, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activity
  • Support NPD and factory trials, ensuring products meet required standards
  • Build strong working relationships across Production, Engineering and key stakeholders

This role offers a great opportunity to join a growing site with strong customer relationships and future expansion plans, where you can make a real impact.

We are looking for someone with strong technical foundations and the confidence to lead within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You may already be a Technical Manager, or a QA Manager ready to take the next step.

You will have:

  • HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 (essential)
  • Experience in a Technical or QA leadership role within food manufacturing or FMCG
  • Strong knowledge of audits, QMS and factory processes
  • Experience working in a chilled or high-care environment
  • The ability to lead, coach and develop a team
  • Confidence working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
