Are you early in your career, fluent in Spanish, and interested in building a future in Fresh Produce? We have an exciting opportunity for a Source Technologist to join our business in a role that includes up to 11 months of international travel throughout the year. This is a unique chance to gain hands‑on experience working directly with our grower partners at source, using your Spanish language skills daily while learning how quality is managed from field to packhouse. All travel and accommodation expenses are fully covered. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a low level of experience who is eager to learn and develop a long‑term career in Fresh Produce. You will be supported by our wider Technical and Compliance teams while developing practical experience in supplier management, quality control and customer standards. Over time, you will grow into the role of technical representative at source, helping safeguard product standards and protect customer expectations.
What you will be doing:
- Learning how to oversee quality and packing standards at source.
- Working alongside growers to understand fruit selection and seasonal requirements.
- Supporting grower audits and accreditation processes (e.g. Sedex, SIZA, BRC).
- Communicating seasonal updates and potential supply challenges to UK teams.
- Assisting with customer visits at source.
About You
- Be willing to travel up to 11 months per year (with full travel and accommodation expenses covered).
- Able to speak and read in both English and Spanish.
- Qualification in Agriculture or related Food Science (or similar degree/diploma qualification) is desirable.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Good accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to make decisions independently.
