Do you have experience in Production Management? Have you worked in the food industry before? Are you ready to join a successful, fast-paced organisation supplying fresh produce to a leading UK supermarket? We’re looking for an experienced, dynamic Production Manager to lead our Citrus area and play a key role in driving operational excellence across our site. This role is a Monday to Friday position.
In this pivotal role, you will manage two Shift Managers and oversee the delivery of the Production Plan, ensuring that performance, quality and efficiency targets are consistently achieved. You will bring a strong track record of applying LEAN principles, championing Continuous Improvement, and driving positive change within a similar production environment.
You will:
- Lead the Citrus production area and drive daily delivery of the Production Plan.
- Boost performance through LEAN tools and a strong Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Uphold top-tier standards in safety, hygiene and product quality.
- Control costs and wastage while tracking key production metrics and KPI's.
- Recruit, develop and motivate your team with HR support.
- Ensure full compliance and traceability throughout production.
- Collaborate closely with senior managers to maintain exceptional communication and service.
About You
- Proven Production Management experience, ideally within fresh produce.
- Strong understanding of LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- A people-focused leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- A passion for quality, safety and operational excellence.
- Comfortable with systems and Microsoft products.
