We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Group Finance (UK) to lead the UK Group Finance function across reporting, audit, tax, treasury, transactional finance and internal controls. This role is critical in ensuring financial integrity, supporting strategic decision‑making and leading a high‑performing finance team during a period of transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate weekly and monthly UK Group performance reporting
- Lead forecasting, budgeting and IFRS compliance across UK entities
- Manage external audit and statutory accounts for 8 legal entities
- Ensure compliance with UK and international tax obligations
- Oversee UK cashflow, liquidity and banking relationships
- Lead AP, AR and Finance Administration teams, driving KPIs and process improvements
- Strengthen internal controls and governance
- Support major system implementations (Microsoft D365 and EMBAT during 2026)
- Provide commercial insight and leadership to senior stakeholders
About You
To be successful, you will be an accomplished interim finance leader who quickly builds credibility and takes ownership in complex environments. You will combine strong commercial insight with a people‑focused leadership style, be able to balance business‑as‑usual delivery with continuous improvement, providing calm, authoritative leadership and clear financial insight to senior stakeholders while building and motivating high‑performing teams.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Senior finance leadership experience in a complex, multi‑entity organisation (£500m+ turnover)
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, audit, tax and treasury
- Proven leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial, analytical and delivery‑focused
