We are looking for a Packaging Technologist to join the Commercial team at AMFRESH, supporting our Alconbury and Peterborough sites. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, site-based position. The role will support the management of packaging compliance, packaging data and new packaging development across the business, ensuring packaging is operationally effective, compliant and delivered right first time. You’ll work closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to support packaging projects, maintain accurate reporting data and help drive continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing packaging compliance and documentation
- Supporting packaging development, trials and artwork approvals
- Maintaining accurate packaging data and reporting
- Supporting EPR, Plastic Packaging Tax and customer requirements
- Investigating packaging issues and driving corrective actions
- Working closely with suppliers and stakeholders across the business
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, analytical and confident managing detailed data within a fast-paced environment. You will ideally have:
- Strong administration, analytical and data management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and experience managing complex datasets
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- The ability to interpret technical and regulatory requirements and apply them operationally
- A proactive, motivated and determined approach
- Confidence working cross-functionally with suppliers and stakeholders
- The ability to thrive in a busy, deadline-driven environment
- Experience within packaging development, packaging materials or recyclability would be advantageous, alongside experience within fresh produce, food manufacturing or retail supply chains.
- Knowledge of EPR, Plastic Packaging Tax or wider sustainability reporting requirements would also be beneficial.
