We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team at our state‑of‑the‑art chilled food facility. If you thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, enjoy solving problems, and want to make a real impact on production performance, this could be the role for you.
Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights – 4 on / 4 off (12‑hour shifts)
You’ll work with a wide range of modern food packaging equipment, including conveyors, heat sealers, netting and flow‑wrapping machines, as well as coding and labelling systems. No two shifts are the same — you’ll be hands‑on, proactive, and central to keeping our production lines running efficiently.
Working closely with our Production teams, you’ll share your technical expertise, help develop Technical and Machine Operators, and play a key role in improving machine reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across the site.
About You
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a high volume, fast moving environment
- Formal Electrical qualifications in Engineering, i.e NVQ Level 3, Engineering Apprentice or Food and Drink Apprenticeship Standard
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude and outlook to internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of driving continuous improvement activities
- Experience in maintaining standard industry machinery including conveyor belt systems, bucket fillers and strapping machines
