We are looking for a Product Quality & Technical Specialist - Top Fruit to support the delivery of high-quality, compliant and customer-ready products across our Top Fruit category. Working closely with Tesco, our supply base, Kent-based teams, Procurement and Agronomy, you will help maintain product quality, technical compliance, specifications and reporting across the category.

You will manage customer and source systems, including TQC, Inspectorio, Toolkit and the AMT Portal, ensuring product specifications, technical information, labels, packaging verification and TPIS requirements remain accurate and up to date. The role will include monitoring quality performance through QSL data, weekly KPI reporting, shelf-life reports and technical updates. You will also support product benchmarking, sample evaluations, taste panels and customer visits. You will investigate product quality issues and customer refunds, undertake root cause analysis, follow up non-conformances and support wider quality assurance and technical compliance activity across our supply chain. You will work closely with growers and packing sites to maintain standards and drive continuous improvement. Travel to source and packing sites will be required when needed.

This opportunity could suit someone currently working as a Quality Technologist, Technical Technologist, Quality Assurance Technologist, Technical Compliance Officer, Product Technologist or Quality Specialist within fresh produce, food manufacturing or a related environment. Full training on the Top Fruit category will be provided.

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of weights and measures legislation, legal labelling and relevant compliance requirements
  • Internal auditing qualification and experience of auditing
  • Experience undertaking root cause analysis and proposing practical solutions
  • Experience hosting or supporting customer visits at supplier/source level
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision‑making ability
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
