We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our day-shift engineering team at our modern food production facility in Peterborough. Working on a 4 on 4 off days pattern, 12-hour shifts, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business that continues to invest in modern equipment, automation, and the development of its people.
In this role, you will support planned and reactive maintenance across a range of production machinery, automated systems, and site equipment, helping to keep our fast-paced production environment running safely and efficiently. You will work closely with production and wider site teams to minimise downtime, improve reliability, and support continuous improvement across the operation.
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
- A recognised engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, Engineering Apprenticeship, or equivalent
- Strong practical maintenance skills across production machinery, automated equipment, and site systems
- A proactive, hands‑on approach to planned and reactive maintenance
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work closely with production and engineering teams
- Experience supporting equipment reliability, downtime reduction, or continuous improvement activity
