Main Purpose of the Job
We are a well-established family-owned insulation company; we have identified a position for an experienced or trainee Insulation Technician to join our Southampton Branch.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Cavity Wall and Loft Insulation both Commercial & Retrofit; however, we are happy to provide training. In any event, you must hold a CSCS card & a full driving license.
The Role:
As an Insulation installer, your duties will include:
- Carrying out a dynamic risk assessment prior to commencing work.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with industry and company standards to achieve set quality targets.
- Liaising with customers, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
- Adhering to all company Health and Safety rules.
- Working away at other depots when required.
Who are we looking for:
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Full driving license is essential.
- Excellent face-to-face communication skills and able to deliver a consistently high standard of customer service.
- Proven ability to self-motivate, achieve set targets, and experience of working without direct supervision, using initiative, and working to deadlines.
- Flexible approach to working hours due to the nature of the job.
- Experience of working/complying with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Good working knowledge of the insulation industry and current technical skills, preferably with installing experience.
- Technical knowledge of cavity wall and loft insulation.
- An awareness of environmental issues.
- Hold a CSCS card and preferably an NVQ Level 2 in Cavity Wall Installing and Loft Installing; however, we are happy to provide training for the right person.
