The Product Manager is responsible for the development of AM Best Information Services (AMBEIS) Products & Services. This role is responsible for planning and executing product plans and roadmaps for existing and new products under its responsibility. The Product Manager is a subject matter expert, responsible for delivering outstanding value to our customers and ensuring their continued success. You will work closely with Market Stakeholders, Business Development, Ratings, Training, and the Executive team. You will report to the Associate Director- Head of Sales Operations & Product Management Services.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business and corporate strategy into product strategy and plans.
- Create and execute product and roadmaps for the designated product line.
- Manage the product roadmap including prioritization of enhancements, backlogs and releases.
- Drive direction throughout AM Best to get products and product features to market including planning, product launches, and discontinuations.
- Manage all aspects of product lifecycle and development process, including customer feedback, recommendation of enhancements, requirements & user stories, business reviews and testing.
- Monitor local and global regulations to ensure regulatory data and products comply and/or meet expectations.
- Create testing plans to ensure accuracy of data available in the subscription and the functionality enabled in the platforms.
- Evaluate new technology and/or data to improve existing products or creating new offerings.
- Lead product demonstrations to client-facing teams and upon request participate in product demonstrations to customers.
- Support the decision-making process with customer, market, competitive, and usage analysis related to the assigned products.
Skills and Experience required:
- Experience managing and developing products and understanding digital needs for businesses or enterprises in the insurance industry or financial services.
- Key skills include data analytics, customer insight skills, user experience knowledge, lean development with Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, client interaction skills, training, business/financial analysis and reporting.
- Insurance, Risk Management or Financial Services market knowledge is needed including market needs, competitive landscape, methodologies, regulatory landscape, market trends, and client workflows.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Risk Management, Economics, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
