As an experienced Financial Accountant you will provide support to our busy Finance Team. You will be responsible for the day-to‐day management of transactional finance operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, employee expenses, intercompany accounting and bank account management. The role is a maternity cover for a period of 12 months reporting to the Head of Finance.

Your Key Responsibilities will be to manage:

  • Month-End and Financial Control
    • Support month-end close activities
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
    • Post accruals, prepayments and journals as required
    • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls
    • Complete monthly and quarterly ONS reporting
    • Complete monthly Fee Deviation and Endorsement reporting
  • Intercompany Accounting
    • Process intercompany invoices, recharge journals and reconciliations
    • Liaise with group entities to resolve differences
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Manage end-to-end sales ledger process
    • Raise invoices accurately and in a timely manner
    • Monitor aged debtors and manage client queries
    • Support cash allocation and receipt postings
  • Support the Accounts Payable, Employee Expenses and Bank Account Management
    • Ensure invoices and expenses are processed in line with internal policies
    • Support payment runs
    • Complete reconciliations
    • Support treasury activities and payment controls
    • Support with Ad hoc requests

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Broad experience in finance roles covering account receivable/payable, banking and reconciliations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Note: We are seeking a Financial Accountant to start as soon as possible on a 12 months fixed term contract role. This is a full time role you will be expected to work in the office for minimum 3 days along with the rest of the team. As this is an urgent requirement the interview will take place next between 23rd February - 6th March.
