As an experienced Financial Accountant you will provide support to our busy Finance Team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of transactional finance operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, employee expenses, intercompany accounting and bank account management. The role is a maternity cover for a period of 12 months reporting to the Head of Finance.
Your Key Responsibilities will be to manage:
- Month-End and Financial Control: Support month-end close activities, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, post accruals, prepayments and journals as required, ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls, complete monthly and quarterly ONS reporting, complete monthly Fee Deviation and Endorsement reporting.
- Intercompany Accounting: Process intercompany invoices, recharge journals and reconciliations, liaise with group entities to resolve differences.
- Accounts Receivable: Manage end-to-end sales ledger process, raise invoices accurately and in a timely manner, monitor aged debtors and manage client queries, support cash allocation and receipt postings.
- Support the Accounts Payable, Employee Expenses and Bank Account Management: Ensure invoices and expenses are processed in line with internal policies, support payment runs, complete reconciliations, support treasury activities and payment controls, support with ad hoc requests.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Broad experience in finance roles covering account receivable/payable, banking and reconciliations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Note: We are seeking a Financial Accountant to start as soon as possible on a 12 months fixed term contract role. This is a full time role you will be expected to work in the office for minimum 3 days along with the rest of the team. As this is an urgent requirement the interview will take place next between 23rd February - 6th March.
