As an experienced Financial Accountant you will provide support to our busy Finance Team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of transactional finance operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, employee expenses, intercompany accounting and bank account management. The role is a maternity cover for a period of 12 months reporting to the Head of Finance.
Responsibilities
- Month-End and Financial Control
- Support month-end close activities
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Post accruals, prepayments and journals as required
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls
- Complete monthly and quarterly ONS reporting
- Complete monthly Fee Deviation and Endorsement reporting
- Intercompany Accounting
- Process intercompany invoices, recharge journals and reconciliations
- Liaise with group entities to resolve differences
- Accounts Receivable
- Manage end-to-end sales ledger process
- Raise invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor aged debtors and manage client queries
- Perform regular debtor reconciliations
- Support cash allocation and receipt postings
- Support the Accounts Payable, Employee Expenses and Bank Account Management
- Ensure invoices and expenses are processed in line with internal policies
- Support payment runs
- Complete reconciliations
- Support treasury activities and payment controls
- Support with Ad hoc requests
Skills
- Broad experience in finance roles covering account receivable/payable, banking and reconciliations
- Good Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Note: We are seeking a Financial Accountant to start as soon as possible on a 12 months fixed term contract role. This is a full time role you will be expected to work in the office for minimum 3 days along with the rest of the team. As this is an urgent requirement the interview will take place next between 23rd February - 6th March.
