We meet every first and third Monday of the month from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm at Redwood Glades, Leeds Road, Hull, HU7 4JY.
Our groups provide a welcoming and supportive space for people affected by dementia to engage in activities, socialise with others and get support and information.
As a Group Facilitator Volunteer, you’ll provide key support with the administration and running of the group by:
- Coordinating and facilitating activities
- Welcoming people to the group
- Keeping records of those attending
- Supporting with the set-up and tidying away after the group
- Providing encouragement to people attending to participate in the activities on offer
As well as carrying out the role as part of a team, there may be opportunities to facilitate these group sessions unsupervised, should the need arise.
This role will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal Records Check from either the Disclosure and Barring Service (England).
