We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data team within the Technology directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive data-informed decision-making across Alzheimer’s Society, enabling colleagues to better understand performance, allocate resources effectively, and demonstrate the impact of our work. As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in transforming data into meaningful insight. You’ll design and maintain dashboards and reports, deliver analysis that answers important business questions, and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs and help them make better-informed decisions. This is a varied and flexible role that can support different areas of the organisation, from fundraising and services to workforce, research, and beyond. Whatever the domain, you’ll use your analytical expertise to turn complex data into clear, actionable information that supports our mission and strategic goals.

You’re a curious and analytical thinker who enjoys solving problems and uncovering insights through data. You have a strong eye for detail and take pride in delivering accurate, reliable, and user-friendly reporting and analysis. You’re comfortable working with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, translating business requirements into meaningful reporting solutions and communicating findings in a way that is accessible and engaging. You enjoy working collaboratively, are proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, and are passionate about helping others use data with confidence. Qualifications

  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar reporting tools
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using SQL to extract, transform, and analyse data
  • Experience working with large and varied datasets, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and integrity
  • The ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Experience gathering and interpreting stakeholder requirements to develop effective reporting and analytical solutions
  • Strong skills in Excel and other data management tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision‑making
  • An understanding of data protection principles and the importance of handling data responsibly

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility of organisational performance
  • Translating business requirements into user-friendly reporting and analytical solutions
  • Delivering ad‑hoc analysis and presenting findings that support informed decision-making
  • Using SQL and other tools to extract, transform, and analyse data from multiple sources
  • Identifying trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities within organisational data
  • Supporting the development of self‑service reporting capabilities across the Society
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, manage expectations, and deliver valuable insights
  • Maintaining clear documentation of data sources, definitions, and methodologies
  • Supporting data quality initiatives and helping resolve data issues identified through analysis
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and data-informed decision-making across the organisation
