About The Role
If you’re looking for a varied and flexible role which helps us to reach and support more people affected by dementia than ever before, look no further! You’ll volunteer with our Fundraising teams to raise awareness in your local community and assist our supporters to raise funds. You’ll help us to identify potential new supporters, to build brand awareness and to inspire people in your local area to know more about dementia. By being one of our Ambassadors, you’ll put your passion for making a difference into action by engaging with our supporters in a variety of ways such as attending events or cheque presentations and helping with bucket collections. We are looking for passionate people to help raise our profile across Cambridgeshire.
How You Can Help
- Do you know any local venues—shops, cafés, pubs, community centres etc that might host a tin?
- Do you have connections in the Cambridgeshire area where you can leaflet drop?
- Can you help us promote our Fundraising campaigns or get involved yourself?
- Are you part of any clubs or groups that support charities?
- Do you know of any local events & businesses who would like to get involved supporting Alzheimer’s Society?

You’ll be great for the role if:
- You are passionate about making a difference in your local community and to the lives of people affected by dementia.
- You have experience of or an interest in fundraising and raising awareness.
- You have good communication skills and enjoy engaging with people.
- You are self‑motivated, organised and confident to volunteer independently.
- You are over the age of 16.
