That is the kind of impact you could have as a Dementia Adviser with us. Every day in this role is different. One morning you might be leading a lively Love to Move session, helping people move and laugh together. The afternoon could be spent sharing guidance with a carer navigating the challenges of supporting a loved one. In between, you will be building connections across the island, mentoring volunteers, and creating pathways that make support seamless and meaningful. We believe in seeing people for who they truly are, not just the label of a diagnosis. Our Dementia Support Service provides more than information. We provide hope, independence, and a sense of control. Through our groups, from Singing for the Brain to tailored activity sessions, we create moments that truly matter.

Location: Based in the Isle of Man, this is a community-focused role supporting individuals across the island.

Hours: We have both full-time and part-time positions available to suit your lifestyle.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitate and bring to life our range of activity groups, brightening the days of people affected by dementia.
  • Lead and support a team of volunteers who help make everything possible.
  • Offer guidance, support, and information that empowers people to stay independent and improve their wellbeing.
  • Deliver sessions for carers, giving them tools, knowledge, and reassurance.
  • Build strong relationships with professionals, partners, and community members, making the support network even stronger.
  • Provide support in person, by phone, or online, adapting to the needs of the people we serve.

About You

  • We are looking for someone who can see the person, not the condition.

  • You are experienced in running groups, working with volunteers, and supporting people with complex needs.
