Our groups provide a welcoming and supportive space for people affected by dementia to engage in activities, socialise with others and get support and information.

As a Group Facilitator Volunteer, you’ll provide key support with the administration and running of the group, by:

  • Coordinating and facilitating activities
  • Welcoming people to the group
  • Keeping records of those attending

You’ll also support with the set-up and tidying away after the group, as well as providing encouragement to people attending to participate in the activities on offer.

As part of a team, there may be opportunities to facilitate these group sessions unsupervised, should the need arise.

This role will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal Records Check from either the Disclosure and Barring Service (England).
