About The Role

If you’re looking for a varied and flexible role which helps us to reach and support more people affected by dementia than ever before, look no further!

You’ll volunteer with our Fundraising teams to raise awareness in your local community and assist our supporters to raise funds. You’ll help us to identify potential new supporters, to build brand awareness and to inspire people in your local area to know more about dementia. By being one of our Ambassadors, you’ll put your passion for making a difference into action by engaging with our supporters in a variety of ways such as attending events or cheque presentations and helping with bucket collections.

Responsibilities

  • Volunteer with the Fundraising teams to raise awareness in your local community and assist supporters to raise funds.
  • Identify potential new supporters, build brand awareness and inspire people in your local area to know more about dementia.
  • Engage with supporters in various ways, such as attending events, cheque presentations, and bucket collections.
  • Support the local Community Fundraiser to identify and engage with new supporters in your local community.
  • Be an ambassador of Alzheimer’s Society by engaging with local supporters at events, cheque presentations, and information tables.
  • Support the Community Fundraiser to build brand awareness, support fundraisers and inspire people to understand more about dementia in your local community.

Qualifications

  • You are passionate about making a difference in your local community and to the lives of people affected by dementia.
  • You have experience of or an interest in fundraising and raising awareness.
  • You have good communication skills and enjoy engaging with people.
  • You are self-motivated, organised and confident to volunteer independently.
  • You are over the age of 16.
