About the Role

We are looking for unique people to join the team at our dementia specific day service in Greenock. Our day services are personalised to the preferences and needs of individuals, providing therapeutic activities with a focus on maintaining skills and independence. The day services in Greenock are open Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front line support as a Day Services Practitioner.
  • Maintain a positive approach to dementia and good communication skills.
  • Caring attitude and support individuals to keep connected to their communities, engage in their interests and hobbies, and access peer support.
  • Contribute to activity development and lead the way towards exciting and new activities to promote brain health.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Willingness to learn and participate in training (including SVQ) and registration with the SSSC.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia is an advantage.
  • The use of a car is preferred (mileage and expenses are paid).

Employment Conditions

The successful candidate for this post will be required to provide proof of right to work in the UK and will also be subject to a PVG check through Disclosure Scotland.
