Role Overview

We are looking for a Community Activities Organiser who will be responsible for developing and facilitating a wide range of community activities for people living with dementia and their carers/families, with a view to helping them maintain social activities, relationships and community connections.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate community activities for people living with dementia and their carers/families.
  • Maintain and enhance social activities, relationships and community connections.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Positive approach to dementia.
  • Flexible, inclusive, creative and organised.
  • Sensitive and compassionate, able to support people in times of difficulty or distress.
  • Excellent communicator capable of working effectively with individuals and groups.
  • Willingness to participate in relevant training and show a commitment to continued professional development.
  • Relevant qualification and prior experience of working with people with dementia is an advantage.
