What You'll Bring
- Minimum of 1 year's experience working in a similar setting within the UK (essential)
- Positive attitude to residents and a commitment to provide stimulating, quality activities
- Ability to work alone as well as a team and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues, residents and families
- Experience of working with residents who have additional support needs (desirable)
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
Your Working Pattern
Working 10am until 6pm, four days a week including alternate weekends. 35 hours per week.
What You'll Be Doing
- Plan, organise and coordinate activities for residents according to their needs, interests and abilities
- To safeguard and promote the welfare of our residents
- Supporting our residents and encouraging them to partake in activities
- Keeping appropriate records of activities and assessment forms
- Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out/events at the home
- Working within agreed activities budget
