Always Win Limited is seeking an analytically sharp and values-driven Financial Business Analyst Volunteer to join our organisation. This is a strictly voluntary, unpaid position designed for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact, gain high-level portfolio experience, and align with an organization that deeply values professional development and mutual growth.

In this strategic role, you will serve as a vital pillar in our investment and research pipeline. Working directly under the Managing Director, you will perform deep-dive fundamental analysis on publicly traded companies, translating raw financial data into sharp, interpretive insights. A core component of this role is leadership and quality control: you will supervise a Finance Assistant, ensuring absolute accuracy in data extraction before applying a unique, proprietary rubric to judge a company's financial health and share price quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis & Evaluation: Review financial documents of publicly traded companies to extract key data and calculate core financial metrics.
  • Supervision & Quality Assurance: Oversee and review the work of the Finance Assistant, maintaining a hawk-eyed focus on spotting and correcting data entry errors.
  • High-Level Interpretation: Write precise, structured interpretations of financial metrics, translating numerical values into qualitative judgments regarding a company's overall health and valuation.
  • Strategic Support: Present finalized preliminary analysis and interpretations to the Managing Director, enabling the formulation of a definitive numerical score and semantic rating.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively research and train under Always Win Limited’s unique, specialized financial rubric to ensure alignment with the organization’s precise analytical framework.

Time Commitment & Location

  • Nature of the Role: Strictly Voluntary (Unpaid).
  • Hours: Ideal commitment of 5 to 10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling determined by the candidate to easily balance alongside existing work or academic studies.
  • Location: Hybrid or Remote. A candidate based in or near Milton Keynes is highly preferred to facilitate occasional in-person collaboration with the Managing Director and Finance Assistant, although fully remote arrangements will be considered for the right fit.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education & Experience: Undergraduate Degree required (a Master’s degree in a quantitative or qualitative subject is highly ideal).
  • Financial Literacy: Strong knowledge of financial metrics, equity analysis, and public company financial documentation.
  • Leadership Aptitude: Proven ability or strong readiness to supervise, mentor, and audit the work of junior team members.
  • Coachability: A proven willingness and aptitude to learn, research, and adapt to a specialized internal analysis framework.

Our Core Values (A Must)

  • Integrity & Equity: Honesty, transparency, fairness, and inclusivity are non-negotiable.
  • People-First Culture: A deep commitment to health, safety, wellbeing, and a profound respect for individuality and equality.
  • Growth Mindset: A questioning spirit, a desire for collaboration and creativity, and a genuine motivation to learn from both work and education.

Always Win Limited believes a diverse team drives better insights. Candidates with personal and professional experience within minority backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply and will be fully supported.

Volunteer Benefits & Rewards

While this position carries no financial compensation, Always Win Limited believes in a culture of fair reward. In alignment with our internal-stakeholder-first model, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional growth, academic endeavors, and personal wellbeing:

  • One Education Benefits: Receive a Lifetime Membership and a Student Card from One Education, unlocking long-term access to continuous learning resources and student discounts.
  • Professional References: Provision of both a robust Factual Reference (verifying your technical responsibilities and tenure) and a personalized Character Reference from leadership.
  • Certificate of High Achievement: A formal certificate recognizing your specialized analytical skills and leadership contributions to the team.
  • Holistic Support & Development: Career & Wellbeing Support: Access to dedicated guidance under both a Professional Manager (for technical and career progression) and a Counsellor (to support your personal development, work-life balance, and overall wellbeing).
