The successful applicant will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining practical experience across a wide variety of projects while undertaking their apprenticeship training.
About the Employer: Always Green Lawns are a small, family company that has been maintaining and landscaping residential properties, schools, nurseries, recreational facilities and commercial properties since 2010.
What You'll Do: The apprentice will learn and assist with:
- First-fix and second-fix carpentry
- New-build projects
- Extensions and refurbishment projects
- Loft conversions
- Fitting doors, door frames and associated ironmongery
- Fitting skirting boards, architraves and other finishing work
- Construction and installation of modular-building skirts
- Landscaping, installation of artificial surfaces and maintenance of surfaces
- Construction of benches and play equipment
- Basic painting and decorating
- General building and site preparation
- Measuring, cutting and preparing timber and other materials
- Safe use of hand tools and power tools
- Reading and understanding measurements, drawings and instructions
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
- Following all company health and safety procedures and site requirements
The role will involve both workshop and on-site work and may include travelling to projects throughout the UK. All work will be carried out under appropriate supervision while the apprentice develops their skills and confidence.
Training Outcome: A full-time position within the company.
