An established UK manufacturing business is seeking a Production Planner to join its planning and supply chain function at its Head Office site. Operating within a fast-paced production environment, this role plays a critical part in ensuring on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery while maintaining efficient inventory levels.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Production Planner or Supply Chain Coordinator looking to take the next step within a stable, growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Create, issue, and manage weekly production plans aligned to customer demand
- Monitor end-to-end production performance to achieve OTIF delivery
- Adjust production schedules to respond to changing demand or operational constraints
- Manage inventory levels across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Support internal teams with product availability and planning queries
- Use an ERP/MRP system to plan requirements, raise purchase orders, and track supplier deliveries
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time material availability
- Carry out ongoing stock checks and resolve discrepancies
- Work collaboratively with production, procurement, logistics, and operations teams
- Essential: A Level education or equivalent (degree advantageous)
- Minimum 2 yearsβ experience in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing planning
- Strong experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Advanced Excel and MS Office capability
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
