Position Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician at Manchester Airport to troubleshoot, inspect, and repair various Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic components. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, documenting activities, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives, all while adhering to safety and aviation standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot and diagnose discrepancies in GSE systems.
2. Inspect and disassemble components for quality assessment.
3. Perform preventive maintenance and document all actions.
4. Engage in process improvements to reduce downtime.
5. Follow safety practices, including tool control and FOD prevention.
6. Ensure safety during operations and maintenance activities.
7. Coordinate with internal teams and external clients.
8. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and tools.
9. Participate in training and professional development.

Candidate Profile

• 1-4 years of experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, or industrial repair.
• 1-2 years of experience with mobile heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Automotive or millwright experience is a plus; GSE experience is advantageous.

Additional Details

• Full-time, 40 hours/week.
• Paid leave: 25 days/year.
• On-call duties during evenings and weekends.
