Alver Veterinary Group, Stubbington are looking for a Small Animal Vet to join our team. Here at Alver Veterinary Group we are looking for an experienced Vet to join our team, working predominantly out of our Stubbington branch. Your new role would include a variety of consults and surgeries and would include sole charge. There is also the option if you wish, to split your week and work out of our main site in Gosport.
About us:
- 20-minute consults in 1.5-2-hour blocks including 30 minutes paid 'wrapping up' time after the last appointment
- 4 days working week with 1 in 4, 7.5-hour Saturdays with a day back in lieu the following week
- No OOH and a TOIL system for the rare times we get caught late
- Variety of shifts including consults, ops, and emergencies/wards so no week is the same.
- Access to a local CT scanner
- 9 friendly vets with multiple certificate holders or working towards certificates in medicine, behaviour, diagnostic imaging, and dermatology (across our group)
- 14 RVNs and 5 SVNs, all highly capable in schedule 3 procedures.
- They run a variety of nurse-led clinics including weight clinics, diabetic clinics and geriatric clinics
- Visiting advanced practitioners providing services in surgery and cardiology
- Monthly vet meetings to input into improvements to the practice, share CPD, and discuss interesting cases
- Passionate about QI - regular clinical audits leading to improved ways of working
What we can offer you:
- Salary of up to £68,000 that is negotiable on your experience
- £5k joining bonus (pro rata for part time)
- 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy/sell additional holiday
- Receive an extra day's leave per year for your first five years
- Support for working towards a certificate, or developing area of interest further if a certificate holder (e.g. dedicated clinics/surgery time etc)
- Work as part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team
- Dedicated off-rota time to support new and recent graduates to build their skills
- Regular one-to-ones to discuss development and progression
- Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
For this role you will need to be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and have the ability to register with the RCVS.
