Alvaston Medical Centre, a 3 GP Partner partnership with two sites (Aston on Trent Surgery and Alvaston Medical Centre), is seeking an exceptional individual to take on the role of Practice Manager. We provide exceptional care to 12,500 patients in South Derbyshire, are involved in training undergraduates, GPs, nurses and actively participate within our PCN. We have a CQC rating of Good with our most recent inspection.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the business side of the practice, including compliance, HR, finance and quality controls.
- Support the management team, especially the Practice Operations manager, to achieve strategic goals.
- Execute a comprehensive handover of duties from the outgoing Practice Manager to ensure a smooth transition.
- Provide full‑time oversight and support of the practice operations.
Qualifications
- Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Leadership and business/management capability.
Experience
- Experience working with the general public.
- Staff management experience, including multidisciplinary teams and performance management.
- Workforce planning, forecasting and development.
- Developing and implementing policies, procedures and projects.
- Management experience within the NHS or in Practice Management.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting.
- Experience in NHS / Primary Care General Practice.
