A specialist data consultancy is seeking a Data Science Manager - a creative, technically strong, and commercially minded expert - to play a key role in shaping the future of AI and data science delivery. Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and MLOps teams to develop scalable, robust, and production-ready solutions
- Design and deliver data science and GenAI solutions that drive tangible value for clients
- Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex business needs into technical solutions using a tailored mix of ML and GenAI techniques
- Identify opportunities for added value and innovation within client engagements
- Cultivate strong client relationships through clear, consultative communication and dependable delivery
- Lead discovery sessions and workshops to explore client pain points and shape tailored strategies
- Mentor and develop internal talent, supporting skills growth and capability building
- Represent the consultancy at industry events and contribute thought leadership through articles, blog posts, and strategic insights
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in data science and AI, with a strong portfolio of successful ML and GenAI project delivery
- Practical experience in building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade models
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, vector databases, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and model fine-tuning
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially Azure), and tools such as Databricks, Hugging Face, LangChain, and open-source GenAI frameworks
- Deep curiosity and a passion for staying ahead of AI and data science developments
- Commercial acumen and a focus on delivering value-led outcomes
- Entrepreneurial drive to lead and scale a high-impact function
