The Team

Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory team is a leading practice among private‑equity and corporate advisors, with over 1,000 professionals in more than 40 offices worldwide.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead the day‑to‑day on FS buy‑side and sell‑side transactions by managing a team, preparing analyses, drafting reports and sharing findings with our clients.
  • Work closely with Managing Directors to articulate deal issues.
  • Collaborate with industry experts across other workstreams.
  • Develop a rapport with clients and prepare client‑specific analyses enabling evaluation of potential transactions in the context of a client’s investment strategy.
  • Gain industry exposure working with large‑cap and mid‑cap private equity houses, corporate clients and financial institutions.
  • Collaborate as part of the EMEA FS team working across Europe.
  • Expand the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills and gain insight on key drivers and valuation considerations that drive a transaction.
  • Help develop junior colleagues through formal and informal training and mentorship programmes.

Qualifications:

  • Detail‑oriented lead, working primarily on financial services or other regulated businesses.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • ‘Can‑do’ attitude to get the job done.
  • Qualified accountant and/or exceptional academic record.
  • Proven senior‑level experience in Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence, with experience across the FS sector.
  • Training at a Big 4 firm or an established Transaction Advisory practice.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
