Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the procurement elements of wider buy and sell side pre deal diligence: summarizing the procurement opportunity, benefit range and levers, providing the analytical pathway and evidence to support the findings.
- Managing the implementation of post deal savings delivery projects: building sourcing strategies, executing delivery and signing off savings.
- Being a key part of the PEPI procurement team: Managing and delivering projects, participating in new business development, developing junior members of the team, engaging with the GCC to build a world class technical, analytical and research service to support the delivery team.
Skills and Experiences
- A degree from an accredited university (Procurement specific related certifications are of interest).
- Around 5-10 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with a track record of managing complex procurement programs.
- Experience in some or all of the following sectors would be desirable: industrials / manufacturing, chemicals / process industries, IT & technology services, healthcare and CRG.
- Sourcing experience in a selection of categories: metals, packaging, chemicals, manufacturing services, food products, logistics, CDMO and IT would be especially desirable.
- A specific understanding of the key cost drivers and savings levers pertaining to the categories including such insights as global supply options and routes to value.
- Data analysis – assimilated large volumes of often unstructured data and building relevant insights and hypotheses.
- Preparing for and executing supplier negotiations.
- Experience in building logical, fact-based documents (such as sourcing strategies, value creation plans and savings implementation plans).
- Confident in engaging with senior client stakeholders and presenting.
- Evidence of the process of selling consulting services would be desirable.
- Fluency in English is essential, additional European language skills are more than welcome.
