The Indirect Tax Team provides practical, commercially focused VAT advice to help clients navigate potential risks associated with indirect taxes. We support clients across the full lifecycle of their business, focusing on transactions, restructurings, and supply chain changes. This includes advising on the VAT implications of M&A, due diligence, deal structuring, and post-acquisition integration, as well as identifying opportunities to improve VAT efficiency.
We work closely with clients to navigate cross-border VAT challenges, support business change, and ensure VAT considerations are embedded into strategic decision-making. Our team collaborates across jurisdictions to deliver coordinated, high-quality indirect tax advice on complex international matters.
What will you be doing?
- Work closely with our Directors/Managing Directors on VAT advisory projects, focusing on M&A, due diligence, and deal structuring.
- Involvement in pan-European VAT and international supply chain projects.
- Deliver practical, commercial VAT advice using legislation and case law to your own portfolio of clients.
- Advise clients on VAT aspects of transactions and structuring.
- Oversee the compliance requirements whilst focusing on your own advisory-led portfolio.
- Review and quality-assure work prepared by junior team members, ensuring technical accuracy and commercial relevance.
- Manage multiple engagements, budgets, and billing processes efficiently, maintaining strong client relationships throughout.
- Utilise existing and new technology to file VAT returns more efficiently.
Qualifications
- A number of years experience in indirect tax.
- Strong writing, analytical, research, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment.
- ACA, ADIT or CTA qualified.
