The Team
We would like to invite you to join Alvarez & Marsal's dynamic Transaction Advisory Group (TAG). Our TAG team have established Alvarez & Marsal as one of the leading providers of financial due diligence globally and the leading firm to develop a fulfilling career in Transaction Advisory. Our award-winning practice includes over 1,200 professionals in over 40 offices across the United States, Middle East, Europe, Latin America, India and Asia Pacific. We work for premium clients on a selection of deals sector wide. A&M provides investors and lenders with the answers needed to get the deal done. We combine our firm's deep operational, industry and functional resources with quality financial accounting and tax expertise to assess key deal drivers and focus on the root cause of any critical deal issues. The largest Transaction Advisory practice outside the Big Four, our global integrated teams help private equity and corporate acquirers unlock value across the investment cycle.
How you will contribute
- Lead the day-to-day on buy-side and sell-side transactions by managing a team, preparing analyses, drafting reports and sharing findings with our clients.
- Work closely with our Managing Directors to articulate deal issues.
- Develop a rapport with clients and prepare client specific analyses enabling evaluation of potential transactions in the context of clients' investment strategy.
- Gain broad exposure across different sectors working with a variety of large-cap and mid-cap private equity houses on platform acquisitions, working with portfolio companies for bolt-on acquisitions and other projects.
- Work as one EMEA software team collaborating with colleagues across Europe on complex transactions in both the UK and EMEA.
- Expand the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills and gain insight on key drivers and valuation considerations that drive a transaction.
- Help develop junior colleagues while benefitting from established formal and informal training programme and mentorship.
Qualifications
- Detail oriented day-to-day lead working primarily on recurring revenue businesses.
- Candidate must have strong Excel skills.
- ‘Can do’ attitude to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Qualified accountant and/or an exceptional academic record.
- Demonstrated senior-level background in Transaction Advisory, including 3–7 years of Financial Due Diligence experience.
- Trained at a Big 4 firm or an established Transaction Advisory (Transaction Services) practice.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
