Salary: Dependent on Experience

Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Midweek and weekend overtime available)

About the role

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Surveyor to join our growing team within the rail industry. This key role will see you lead a team of surveyors, ensuring the delivery of accurate and reliable survey data for a variety of rail infrastructure projects. You will oversee and conduct topographical surveys, manage the collection and analysis of geospatial data, and collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle. Your leadership and expertise will be vital in ensuring project success and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage survey teams for rail infrastructure projects
  • Perform high-precision land and topographical surveys
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of survey data
  • Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of survey reports and documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers and other project stakeholders to integrate survey data into project designs
  • Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors
  • Assist in the development and implementation of innovative surveying techniques and methodologies

About You:

  • Proven experience in surveying, preferably within the rail or construction industries
  • Strong knowledge of survey equipment, techniques, and software
  • Ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various project sites nationwide
