This position is located overseas. The Roofer is responsible for maintenance, installation, service, replacement and repair of the roofs of residential, commercial, industrial and public facilities, utilizing a high level of skill and a sound knowledge of assembly and construction operations. The Roofer periodically inspects and removes debris which would restrict the flow of water through drains, guttering, vents and scuppers. The Roofer may repair, maintain, inspect, and construct flashing, insulation, expansion joints, drains, pitch pans, hatches, walkways, gravel seams, construct cracks, and equipment supports. May be periodically exposed to rooftops, confined spaces, and inclement weather conditions, or other work conditions determined by nature of work.
Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Work with teammates to locate materials or supplies and arrange for transportation of material to the roof if necessary.
- Coordinate access to any lifts, scaffolding, or large machinery that will be required to complete the approved SOW.
- Request As-Built Drawings, Specifications, Service Logs, Technical Data of each system, Historic Data on installation and repairs, Warranty Information, and Infrared (IR) Thermography documentation (if available through the Technician or Post).
- Review As-Built Drawings and compare them to the existing conditions at each facility and make necessary Red-Line changes to the document to reflect the actual conditions. Include copies of this in the final Trip Completion Report (TCR).
- Review the necessary work to be completed for each roof, and create a safe plan for executing the work required.
- Create a Bill of Materials (BOM) to document all the recommended spare parts, repair parts, and recommended tools associated with the equipment that you worked on during the visit, or as directed by the Team Leader.
- Review all tickets, Electronic Country Clearances (eCC’s), and passports as they are received from the office, to verify that there are no issues or mistakes made that need to be resolved.
Requirements Required Skills:
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
- Must have the physical ability to travel overseas.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination for duty.
- Must be able to work on ladders, access rooftops and other hard to reach areas, and be able to lift and carry materials and tools in excess of 25 lbs.
- Must be familiar with the requirements outlined by NRCA, ARMA, SPRI, OSHA, and any other applicable regulatory agencies.
- Must be proficient in using a computer to send email, as well as use Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Ten years’ experience in roofing.
- Ability to solve complex issues.
- General knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Team player; ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others.
- Adhere to all Company Safety protocols.
Typical Pay Range: $38 - $45 per hour depending on experience.
