Position Overview

The IMAP HVAC technician is responsible for completing preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with the IMAP HVAC scope of work.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend initial and out-brief meetings, assist in relaying team plans, and coordinate with the Facility Manager and security.
  • Assist in coordinating access to secure locations and outages required for maintenance.
  • Conduct inventory and update equipment records for HVAC systems, including various types of units and control systems.
  • Complete preventive maintenance checks using IMAP checklists, document findings, and identify corrective actions.
  • Estimate and verify parts and materials needed for repairs, seek approvals, and perform corrective maintenance.
  • Ensure work areas are clean, wear PPE, and report safety issues.
  • Contribute to service reports, BOM, and training activities, including on-the-job training for local staff.
  • Communicate daily progress, issues, and coordinate with team and management.
  • Review tickets, passports, and clearances for compliance and accuracy.
  • Attend meetings, review maintenance schedules, and prepare weekly status reports and trip expense reports.
  • Maintain professional licenses, stay updated on safety and operational guidelines, and manage documentation of travel and equipment issues.

Deliverables

  • Service reports, detailed PM checksheets, corrective and remaining deficiency worksheets, and BOM.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited HVAC program or hold a Master HVAC License.
  • Current EPA CFC Universal certification.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Physical ability to travel overseas, work on ladders, rooftops, and lift materials over 25 lbs.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Qualifications by Level

Levels 1-4 require increasing years of experience and responsibilities, from apprentice to superintendent, including troubleshooting, installation, team leadership, and logistical management.
