About the Role: Alumni Ventures (AV) is pioneering the use of compact, high-velocity teams where we combine an AV executive with cutting‑edge technology, and an AI‑native operator collaborate to produce outsized results. As AI Associate and Assistant to the incoming Head of UK & EMEA, you’ll serve as the connective tissue between strategy and execution — accelerating growth by embedding directly into day‑to‑day operations.
This is a unique opportunity for a technically fluent, action‑oriented professional with up to 1 year of relevant experience to combine marketing, analytics, and automation in a fast‑paced, venture‑backed environment. The scope of work is dynamic — spanning projects in operations, people, finance, legal, investments, and beyond. You’ll play a critical role in designing, piloting, and scaling AI‑driven solutions that improve how our teams operate day‑to‑day.
This role will benefit from remote participation in Alumni Ventures’s US‑based “AI Pod” of similar roles supporting other executives at the US affiliate of Alumni Ventures UK.
What You'll Do:
- Shadow leaders and support high‑priority projects, meetings, and initiatives.
- Draft communications, synthesize insights, and ensure timely follow‑ups.
- Build, test, and refine AI‑driven workflows, prompt libraries, and toolkits to meet evolving team needs.
- Pilot emerging AI platforms and tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, etc.) to enhance productivity.
- Build and maintain custom GPTs and AI agents to support campaign workflows and executive productivity.
- Leverage automation platforms and APIs to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
- Develop dashboards and diagnostics to monitor CRM, campaign performance, lead funnels, and content ROI.
- Conduct A/B testing ideation and collaborate with the growth team on experiment design and reporting.
- Prepare strategic materials, including marketing updates for board meetings and investor briefings.
- Develop tools and processes to support AV’s Platform CEO Services team, supporting 1,300+ existing portfolio companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
- Act as an internal champion for AI adoption, helping colleagues build confidence in leveraging new tools.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend technologies and approaches that expand organisational capabilities.
- Drive a culture of experimentation, iteration, and rapid learning.
Who You Are:
- Early‑career candidate with up to 1 year relevant experience in a similar or related role, or equivalent practical experience gained through internships, industrial placements, academic projects, or hands‑on work.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Organisational Development, Data Science, HR Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong scripting skills (Python preferred) with familiarity using APIs and automation platforms.
- Experience working with Generative AI tools (e.g. OpenAI, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini), including prompt design, testing, and deployment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise, and professional outputs.
- Demonstrated initiative and curiosity, with a willingness to test ideas, learn quickly, and continuously improve ways of working.
- Highly organised and detail‑oriented, with strong time‑management and prioritisation skills.
- Adaptable and resourceful, comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
- Collaborative and professional, with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams and with senior stakeholders.
- Must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
