This is a contract, on-site role located in Oxford for a Sales Manager at Alumni Tours. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales at our in-person ticket booth locations in Oxford for our shared and private group tours, managing relationships with local businesses and pursuing new business opportunities to support revenue growth. The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, leading a sales team to perform at their best, maintaining client relationships, coordinating tour logistics, and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction. The candidate will also develop partnerships and represent Alumni Tours in promoting our services within the local and global market.
Qualifications
- Sales strategy, customer acquisition, and client relationship management expertise.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and collaboration with partners.
- Experience in event logistics, corporate travel, or group tour planning is preferred.
- Knowledge of Cambridge and Oxford culture, history, and student life is an advantage.
- Proficiency in project management and problem-solving to handle logistics and manage deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work independently on-site in Oxford with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience is an asset.
